The revised Morgan, Morgan and Finney (rMMF) water erosion model calculates annual surface runoff soil loss from field-sized areas. original version of the rMMF is neither suited to calculate along irregular hillslopes, nor capable allow infiltration once generated at places where speed slows down, could occur under natural conditions. aim this article describe a new hillslope that allows runoff, show examples modelling real hypothetical hillslopes. (hMMF) splits entire into number sections have individual properties, such as slope angle, length, properties vegetation characteristics. calculated by summing volume in particular section with coming immediate upslope section. related sediment transport for each using detachment section, capacity. A variable introduced account simulating effects conservation structures on erosion. was tested measured data plots Africa, Asia, US Europe, well surveyed Tunisia (Barbara watershed). Overall, performance hMMF reasonable poor when recommended input values are used. Calibration resulted good performance, which shows capability reproduce amounts. In addition, realistic patterns hillslopes can be simulated.
